Our logo brings together three powerful symbols: The poppy, the koi carp and the water that surrounds them. Together, they tell a story of remembrance, resilience, hope and the strength to keep moving forward.  

🌺 The Poppies — Remembrance & Sacrifice

The poppies are at the heart of the design.

They represent remembrance, respect and sacrifice, honouring those who have served, those who continue to serve, and the families who stand beside them.

The scattered petals are a reminder that remembrance is not something we should think about only on one particular day. It is something we carry with us — remembering the people, the sacrifices and the stories that must never be forgotten.

🐟 The Koi — Strength, Resilience & Moving Forward

The koi carp represents perseverance, strength and overcoming adversity.

A koi continually moves through the water, navigating currents and obstacles rather than simply giving up. For us, this represents the journey many veterans and their families face — sometimes difficult, sometimes uncertain, but always with the possibility of moving forward.

The koi also connects directly with the world of angling and the outdoors, which is so important to the work of Phoenix Heroes.

💧 The Water — The Journey

The flowing water represents life's journey.

There are calm moments and there are turbulent ones, but the water keeps moving. The circular movement around the koi symbolises the idea that no one should have to face life's challenges alone.

It represents community, connection and support — people coming together and helping each other through the difficult times. 

❤️ Why We Chose Phoenix Heroes CIC

This is why we have chosen to donate 20% of our profits to Phoenix Heroes CIC in Colchester.

Phoenix Heroes is a non-profit Community Interest Company based in the Colchester Garrison area, supporting Armed Forces veterans and their families. Their work focuses on building community, improving mental health and wellbeing, and creating opportunities for veterans to connect through outdoor and social activities.

We believe their work reflects everything this logo represents: remembrance, resilience, community and hope.

We don't want this to simply be a product that looks good. We want every purchase to have a purpose.
